Ellen Howell provided excellent illustrations. I learned something new, too. A lesson in French and biology in a free download...that is a win-win! Barry utilizes his experience in educating along with being a parent to create a tremendous little read for children with some tremendous art work too boot! Well done!
Mr. Mosquito is a great read to my two granddaughters who were scared of a mosquito prior to this book. Love the illustrations. Looking forward to more of Mr. Mosquito.
The illustrations are wonderful and the story is a sweet tale that culminates with an informative message--for adults and kids alike. This book could be read on multiple levels. The French subtitles can also be used as a fun teaching tool for kids!
Poor Mr. Mosquito, he has wonderful qualities, including being quick but he is misunderstood. You see, between the lines, he is blamed for something he is not guilty if doing. Explore this wonderfully illustrated fascinating children's book, written in English (and French) about a very famous insect that is certainly a part of life in south Louisiana.

Mr. Mosquito is fun, silly, and quite enjoyable. Even though I do not read French, the inclusion of the French translation caused me to read the English text with a French accent and made me want to go back and read the book again, the second time in French. The illustrations were also a lot of fun, and matched the text very well. Great work to both the author and the illustrator!
Mr. Mosquito is a cute book that teaches facts about mosquitoes.
The book is bilingual (English and French).
I think the ending will be a surprise for children, and some adults as well.
